Introduction

Turkey is one of the foundations of the state-supported university Abdullah Gul University (AGU), established on July 21, 2010, the first students in the 2013-2014 academic year has begun to take. Turkey on the establishment of the starting university studies in 2007, is the first name of President Abdullah Gul.

In the academic year of 2013-2014, Abdullah Gül University admitted students to 6 departments of 3 faculties: Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, and Faculty of Architecture.

Campuses

Abdullah Gul University, which is one of the first industrial campuses and the Republic of Turkey continues its major transformation projects in the education imparted by the Sumerian campus academic life. The buildings, designed under the leadership of Russian architects in 1935, have been transformed into a modern campus by preserving the historical texture and combining it with education thanks to the transformation project. Currently, it continues all its academic activities at the Sumer Campus. The campus is in the center of the city and you can reach it by buses or taxis.

Another campus that takes its name from Mimar Sinan, one of the biggest artists in the world, and Mimar Sinan Campus, is being built on private land with its own water-centered valley, which managed to be shortlisted at the 2012 Singapore World Architecture Festival. Built just outside the city, this campus will be the main campus of the university, which includes faculties, classrooms and laboratories, libraries, dormitories, and sports facilities at international standards.

Education

The language of education at Abdullah Gül University is 100% English, and students receive 1 year of English preparatory education. In addition, with the support of the Abdullah Gül University Supporting Foundation, the first 50 students who entered the top 20,000 in the placement score type and successfully completed the preparatory education will be offered one-semester education at prestigious language schools in the USA. Education and travel accommodation expenses of students who will benefit from this opportunity are covered by AGÜ Support Foundation.

The education approach is aimed at a university with a laboratory infrastructure that will enable scientists from different disciplines to work in their own fields and in collaboration at Abdullah Gül University, which aims to raise entrepreneurial individuals who are looking for jobs rather than looking for jobs. The university, which continues its academic life with 7 departments, has determined quotas such as 15-20 for each department, and thus, it can establish a strong and close bond between student and academician.

Dormitory Opportunities

Abdullah Gül University, which is called Student Village, has an understanding of accommodation service in its dormitories rather than traditional dormitory definition. The private stone houses, located next to the Sumer Campus and offered to the students with the restoration of 70 years old historical buildings, have rooms for one or two people. In addition, students who are in the first 20.000 placement score type can benefit from these dormitories free of charge.
